why DNA doesn,t do all job in a cell ?whiles it can . probably because explicitly what evolution means -using different things and finding which one works best .
moreover if entire body functions would be done by proteins after you would require only protein within your diet while the carbohydrates and fats would be useless so you would hold to eat solely protein rich foods and your food options would curtail and so you would be less adapted to different environments and your luck of survival would decrease.
